These handcrafted, smaller versions of our strip canoes (commonly called "Salesmen's Models") are perfect for your home, office, business or cabin decoration.
Hang one on the wall..... from the cathedral ceiling..... or over your fireplace
Our models are complete in every detail, right down to the cane seats! We include
the printing of your name, special phrase or logo on the bow (or side), if
desired. Each canoe is custom built when ordered and signed by the builder.
Model canoes are rapidly becoming collectible!
We usually make these beauties scaled at 1/2 or 1/4 of the original size. For

Our Custom Crafted Cedar Strip Canoes
Handcrafted of Western Red Cedar strips (varying hues and lengths) installed "level" ("staple-less"construction available - see canoe models below). Gunwales, decks and thwart(s) are made of select Ash hardwood.
We use epoxy resin and 6 ounce fiberglass cloth for the sheathing, installed as a full covering inside & out with an additional layer on the bottom, up to the 5 inch waterline for extra strength and durability. All exposed wood surfaces are sealed with clear epoxy for superior protection from moisture. The hull and trim are finished with 4 coats of UV inhibiting marine spar varnish.
Included With Our Canoes:
· Two splined (pressed into frame) caned canoe seats (exception: one seat for SENECA 140)
· One standard style carrying yoke (center thwart). 18' and longer models have two additional thwarts
· 3/4"diameter copper tube epoxied through at each stem for painter line attachment / vehicle tie down
· Model name (logo decal) at each side of bow, "your name"and manufacture date decal inside of hull
· One year workmanship warranty

· Our hand-woven (into the frame) plastic-caned "Trapezoid" canoe seats in Ash, Cherry or Mahogany
· Our "Deep Curve"carrying yoke (center thwart) in Ash, Cherry or Mahogany

· Matching custom-sized paddles
· "White Cedar" stripped hull
· Staple-less construction (eliminates thousands of "pin-holes" and "black dots"on hull)
· Scuppered inwales (notched inwales appear as those of found on "ribbed" canoes)
· Cherry or Mahogany gunwales, decks and thwart(s)
· Contour stripping (strips follow sheerline...not installed "level")

50% downpayment of canoe & options cost, with
balance and any pre-paid shipping & handling charges paid before shipment
or delivery. Free completed canoe delivery within 50 mile radius of

Our canoes are built on a "first come, first served" basis, and are placed on the building schedule when downpayment is received. Please plan accordingly, as 8-10 weeks is the usual time required after your deposit is received until shipment of the canoe to you.
